How I work
Most of my projects follow these four steps. I often go back and forth between them.
- 01
Research
I talk to users and look at what already exists to understand the problem.
- 02
Plan
I map out user flows and how the content should be organized.
- 03
Design
I sketch, make wireframes, then build clickable prototypes.
- 04
Test
I watch people use it, find what's confusing and fix it.
Keep it simple
If people have to stop and figure out how something works, it needs another pass.
Design for everyone
I check color contrast and keyboard use from the first draft.
Small things matter
Error messages, empty screens and loading states are part of the design too.
Playground
A few small things I built for fun. Try them out.
Lights switch
Switches the whole site to dark mode.
Squishy button
Palette shuffle
Some color palettes I like. Tap shuffle to see another one.
Contrast checker
WCAG asks for 4.5:1 on body text and 3:1 on large text.
Hi, I'm Minnie.
I'm a UI/UX designer.
I design apps and websites, and I focus on how they work and how they feel to use. I usually start with research and sketches before I open Figma.
I care a lot about accessibility, and I like working closely with the people who will actually use what I make.
